Week 6 in Year 2

Date: 12th Oct 2017 @ 9:33pm

What a fantastic week we have had in Year 2! We have learnt lots of new skills in English and Maths and have become keen sandwich makers in Science!

In English, we have looked at two short stories with the central theme of 'worrying'. We are now superstars at using conjunctions such as 'and' and 'because' to join two sentences together. We will take this theme of worrying through to next week where we will be making our own worry dolls.

In maths, we have been learning about division using our knowledge of the 2,5 and 10 time stable. We have learnt how we can use objects and pictorial representations to help us, as well as our fingers!

In science, we have been learning about where our food comes from and how most food that we eat link back to plants! We really enjoyed making and eating our sandwiches!

We have also been making pinch pots out of clay in art and we can't wait for them to dry to bring them home to show you and to use!
