The School For Invisible Urbanists

Hello Y5, I hope you are all well. I have an exciting opportunity for you from the Heart of Glass.

Heart of Glass and artist Andy Field are really excited to share this 3 part action pack with all of Year 5. This pack is a way of continuing the project which started with you all earlier this year. Some of you may remember meeting Andy in the classroom and some of you spent some time with him in the Hub, but he talked to you all about thinking about how you can change the world and how each of you can join The School for Invisible Urbanists.

This is your first of the three packs, which you can do over half terms. We will send the next two on Thursday 4th and Thursday 11th June. We would like you to try to finish each pack before the next one arrives, but it’s ok if you can’t quite manage it.

Remember to keep hold of the things you write down, draw and make throughout, sometimes you will need to refer back to them. You can also share these on the Pupil Scrapbook part of the school website. Please let us know what you enjoyed most and maybe some things that you've learned.

There will be school friends, or maybe even siblings of yours, who have also been learning how to become an Invisible Urbanist with their own pack. They will have done some of the same activities as you, but as Year 5 are the original members of The School For Invisible Urbanists you have your very own pack.  Maybe when you all come together again you can share what you've done and be Invisible Urbanists together.

If you or you 'adult assistants' have any questions about the books please contact info@heartofglass.org.uk with the subject line ‘FAO Kate Houlton – SFIU’

I hope you enjoy the 3 packs, and enjoy being an Invisible Urbanist! I am looking forward to seeing your work on the scrapbook page.

Good luck,

Miss Brown
