Year 1 29.4.20 Home Learning

Good morning everyone!

Well the weather looks a bit different to this time last week doesn't it?! The sky might have gone a bit cloudier but don't let this dampen your smiles!

Instead of playing outside today, see if there are any non-tablet games you could play indoors. I remember when I was little, I used to love building dens with things I could find around my house. I also loved to design my own theme parks and zoos. Have a go and see what you can create today!

Onto our English and Maths work. Yesterday, Mrs Sharkey set you tasks around verbs and measurement. Today, we will build on that learning smiley

English

We have learnt that verbs are 'action words'. Have a look at the powerpoint below to remind yourselves!

Once you have worked through the powerpoint, have a little look at the worksheet. There are two tasks:

1) Build a sentence

2) Complete the sentences using the correct verb.

Maths

In maths, we are going to continue with measuring and using the correct language when comparing two different objects. Again, you have two tasks:

1) Complete the comparison sentences (on the worksheet below)

2) Find set of 2 objects from around your house and compare them using comparative language such as 'shorter than' 'longer than'.

Enjoy your day everyone.
