Year 1 Home Learning 5th May

Good Morning Year 1! I hope that you are all safe and well. We are lucky as the warm weather seems to be returning, I am crossing my fingers and toes that it will stay lovely for Friday! Friday is a special day called VE Day, there is some information about it on the website already but keep checking back for more information!

English.

Yesterday you looked at the story the Rainbow Fish which I hope you enjoyed? You then retold the story to someone at home using adjectives to make is super interesting! Today we are going to continue to focus on adjectives by writing a character description for the Rainbow Fish and include as many adjectives as we can for example: 

The Rainbow Fish is beautiful fish with sparkling, shimmering scales. He was a mean, unkind and selfish fish. Then  one day everything changed and he became a kind, generous and happy fish.

Maths.

Today we are looking at doubling. Please have a look at the first file called Learning before you move on to your task which is in the second file called Activity.
