YR Home Learning - Friday 22nd May

Hello again Reception 😊
Today is the final day of home learning until Wednesday 3rd June as it is half term, so there will be no home learning uploaded onto the website until then. We hope you have a wonderful time during the half term with your families, fingers crossed this lovely sunny weather continues!

Literacy:
Yesterday, I suggested that you could draw a picture and write a message for somebody to make them smile. Today, I would like you to try to write a Tales Toolkit story with ‘kindness’ as the solution!
Maybe the solution could be a kindness fairy or a little boy or girl being kind and helping the character in your story.
I have attached a Tales Toolkit template below.

Maths:
Yesterday, I asked you to create a number line to 20. Today I would like you to practice your subtraction. Can you solve the following problems:

8 – 4 =

10 – 6 =

12 – 5 =

Remember, you can use objects to help you to solve the problems. Take the amount away and count how many objects are left. If you are up for a challenge, you could think of some of your own subtraction problems to solve.

Additional:
I have attached a bird spotting guide below – can you see any of these birds? Have a look in the garden or keep an eye out during your walk! I will be looking for these birds too, I hope I see some! 😊

Enjoy these phonics clips provided by letters and sounds which we follow in school. They will help you with your reading and writing.
