Good morning everyone, here are you home learning tasks for today.

Literacy

For your Literacy today, I thought it would be nice to look at one my favourite traditional tales; Jack and the Beanstalk.

Read the attached story PowerPoint and have a think about the character, setting, solution and problem of the story. Then, take a look at the Tales Toolkit page I have attached below. Can you write some lovely sentences about the story?

Maths

Watch this week’s video to introduce to Numberblock 15! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Otx9YIVCVMI In this video, Number 15 holds a talent show but something goes wrong and each Numberblock has an accident and they lose a part of their number each time – making the number smaller and smaller! Can you practise counting down from 15? Maybe you could get 15 objects and take one away each time to show you what ‘one less’ would be.

I have been playing lots of quizzes with y friends recently over the internet and I have really enjoyed this! So, I thought you may like to play a little quiz too. I have attached a ‘guess the traditional tale’ quiz for you to enjoy with your family.
