LO: To generate vocabulary for the build-up of our narrative.
In this lesson, we will re-read verse 3 of The Highwayman and explore ways to generate plenty of fantastic vocabulary to use when we write the build-up as a narrative.

Maths
LO: To multiply 4 digit by 1 digit numbers using the short multiplication method.
Today we will using the formal written layout to multiply numbers with up to four digits by a single digit. We will investigate this using pictorial, concrete and abstract representation. We will then develop our strategy to understand how to use the same method to multiply by 2-digit multiples of ten.

This lesson will review call and response, ostinato and the signals learnt in the last lesson. Following this, you will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of cross-rhythms, culminating in planning a performance!
