Additional Sporting Opportunities 2020-2021

Yoga with Jane and Jan

Although we are limited in what we can offer the children at the moment, over the past few weeks, some of our Y2 children have had the opportunity to take part in yoga sessions within their class bubble. These sessions have concentrated on helping our children be able to identify and express how their bodies feel and how this influences their state of mind. These yoga sessions have been proven to show improvements in children's ability to be peaceful and calm within themselves. This will be rolled out to other year groups as the year progresses.

Our yoga teachers have done a fantastic job in teaching our children strategies for breathing and relaxing, which hopefully can be used throughout their lives.

If you would like to find out a little more about how yoga can help achieve a positive emotional wellbeing, read some interesting yoga blogs or get some handy tips, visit our yoga teachers websites by clicking on the links below.

We are also very fortunate to have Matt from Judo Education deliver curriculum archery to our Year 4s  this term as this is another non-contact sport and we are able to facilitate these sessions in our class bubbles whilst following Government guidelines. The children are really enjoying it so far!
