LC: Can I use MRSGREN to help me to sort objects?
Write MRSGREN on a piece of paper- how many of the process can you remember? Look at the powerpoint. Consider the 3 examples on the power point. Is it dead/Alive/never lived? How do you know? Task: Draw an object. Next to it, write the group that it fits into (living, not living, never alive). Underneath, write one reason for your choice in full sentences using what you have learnt about MRSGREN. Now repeat for at least 2 objects/things Science (part 2) |
LC: Can I explain what habitat and adaptation mean?
Follow notebook: recap MRSGREN Follow through the notebook learning and discussion points- think about the term 'Habitat' Would a lion live in the Antarctic? Watch videos of polar bears to learn the concept of adaptation to particular habitats. Task : Draw a picture of a polar bear and research and write about how its has adapted to its particular habitat and why. Challenge yourself to explain why these adaptations are essential for survival. |
