Maths
In this lesson, we will be using your knowledge of addition to add fractions with the same denominator. We will use lots of different pictures of fractions, as well as the part/whole model to help us.
English
In this lesson, we recap the tone and theme of John Lyons' poems 'Carib Nightfall' and 'Dancing in the Rain'. We will then create word maps of vocabulary to use in our own poems about nature and weather. Today you will learn how to reduce the risk of fires in your homes by identifying hazards and rectifying them. You will know the importance of smoke detectors and listen to a firefighter's safety advice. You will then create their own evacuation plan for their house.
