Here is an example of a diary entry to give you some ideas:

Monday 11th January

Dear Diary,

Today I had to go and fetch water because we did not have any to cook our super. My stepmother and step sister always make me do chores and they treat me terribly. First, I had to walk through the eerie forest where lots of scary, wild and terrifying animals live. Next, I met an antelope who told me to go home. Then a hyena warned me to hide behind a tree because there was a golden, majestic lion. Finally, I got some cool water from the stream.

Maths

LO: To relate arrays for the multiplication table of 2 to doubling.

Today, we will be using our knowledge of doubling to help us solve 2 times table problems.

Watch the lesson at: https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/relating-multiplying-by-two-to-doubling-cgt34c

Then have a go at our task. You can either cut the number cards out or write you own number cards on seperate pieces of paper.

Geography - Africa

LCWhat are the main differences between the climate of Africa and England?

Look at the Climate differences file. Why is Africa hotter than England? It is closer to the equator.

Task: Locate and colour in the continent of Africa. Next draw on the map where you think the equator is. Finally, write a sentence about why Africa is warmer than England.

Email your work to your teacher on broadoakyear2@sthelens.org.uk
