Phonics

LO: To read captions.

Today we are going to practise reading captions.

Can you read the captions carefully remembering to sound out and blend? Then draw a picture to match the captions.

English

LO: To retell the story of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ from a different perspective.

This week we are going to write a recount of the story ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. A recount is when we retell the story. That is exactly what we are going to do, but instead of ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’ our story will be called ‘They’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ and we’re going to write about the family that went on the bear hunt.

Use the session PDF to have a look at the first 3 pictures and sentences I have done. Today you are going to have a go at writing sentences next to the first 3 pictures on your worksheet. Try not to copy mine and use some adjectives of your own.

Maths

LO: To compare the mass of more than two objects.

In this lesson we will be using balance scales to show when objects have the heaviest mass, the lightest mass or an equal amount of mass.
