LO: To To discuss the features of a diary entry.
Today we will be looking at diary entry examples as you will be writing your own as Chinye.
Look at the examples of diary entries and read through with someone at home if you can.
What features can you see? What do they all have in common?
Here are some of the features you can find:
- Date/time
- Written in past tense
- Written in first person – I, my, we
- The events are in chronological order
- Time linking words – First, then, next
- Describe feelings as if you were there
