Visiting the allotments

Lesson: Science

Class: Y4B Year: 2016-2017

Today we walked to Ashton’s Green Allotments as  part of our Challenge Curriculum question ‘what plants and animal should thrive in our locality?’ We had a tour of the allotments and learned all about the different plants that are grown there. We also saw the different birds that are kept at the allotments (geese, chickens and pigeons) and Paul told us all about some of the wild animals that call the allotments home. We even had the chance to plant some potatoes!
