English

Today, we will continue to build on our non- chronological reports we started last week. At this stage, you should've written up two parts of your report. Today, you are going to write another paragraph.
Look at your planning sheet and think about what your next section will be about. Make sure you use the facts you have gathered on your planners to support writing. Remember that a non-chronological report is a non fiction text and so you report should only contain factual statements and not what you think/feel! Make your writing sparkle by including questions, conjunctions and commas.

Tomorrow, we will complete our reports by finishing off the fourth and final paragraph.

Challenge Curriculum

LC: How can I stay safe on the internet?

This week, our learning challenge will be Computing! We talk a lot in school about how to stay safe on the internet. We know to:

  • never give out any personal information
  • use a computer or tablet when an adult is nearby
  • always ask an adult if we want to download anything
  • always tell an adult if anything makes us feel uncomfortable whilst on the internet.

Today, your task is to enjoy the story of Buddy the Dog as he guides you through how to enjoy the internet safely. Some of you may remember this story as it has a particuarly catchy song to help us to remember how to stay safe. When you have enjoyed the story with your adult, have a go at making an information poster to inform your friends and family of how to stay safe whilst using the internet! We would love to see your posters via our email. We may even print some out and display them in your classroom!
