Good Morning Nursery,

Today you are going to carry out an Floating and Sinking experiment.

What you will need:

-Basin of water/bath/paddling pool

-Various objects from around the house (that are safe to place in water). 

-First watch the short videos by clicking on the links below:

-Then have a look around your house and collect various different objects that can be placed in the water. 

-Before you place each of the objects into the water I would like you to PREDICT (have a sensible guess) whether it will sink to the bottom or float at the top.

-Test each of the objects one at a time by placing them into the water.
