There are some circumstances when remote education may be needed. These fit into two broad categories:
• School closures or restrictions on attendance, where school access for pupils is restricted
• Individual cases where a pupil is unable to attend school but is able to learn - this will be in very exceptional circumstances
If required, remote education at Broad Oak will be provided through recorded direct teaching time (via Oak Academy), as well as time for pupils to complete tasks, reading, and assignments independently through our digital learning platforms - Tapestry (EYFS) and Seesaw (Y1-Y6)
It is important that all parents and carers have access to Tapestry and Seesaw, not only in the event of the need for remote education but also to access children's learning in school. Please contact the school office if you need support to do this.
