Art and Design

Vision

We want Art lessons to inspire and challenge the children and equip them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design both 2D and 3D as well as to be able to think critically and understand how art and design contribute to their understanding of History and Culture.

Intent

We deliver a high quality Art and Design education that ensures all pupils become resourceful, imaginative and creative. Our Art and Design curriculum develops children’s skills and knowledge in Art through sketching, modelling, a variety of medias and self reflection. We aim to inspire pupils and develop their confidence to experiment and invent their own works of art through hands-on lessons.
