Democracy

At Broad Oak Community Primary pupils are always listened to by adults and are taught to listen carefully and with compassion, respecting the right of every individual to have their opinions and voices heard. Through our School Council we encourage pupils to take ownership for moving our school forward but also for their own learning, encouraging independence as well as personal and social responsibility. Within the school council sub-committee's are responsible for: Environment, Curriculum and Finance.
