13.05.20 Y4 Home Learning
Good morning Y4. Can you believe it's Wednesday again! The days are just flying by! As today is Wellbeing Wednesday, try and spend some time doing something that makes you feel good, for example, listening to your favourite music, painting a picture or reading a book or magazine on your bed.
Maths
This week your maths activities will focus again upon multiplication. We will be looking at the short multiplication method this week. This method is the most efficient way of working out multiplication questions that you cannot answer mentally. Remember, most efficient means quickest!
Test your skills by working out the answer to both 2 digit x 1 digit and 3 digit x 1 digit multiplication questions. There are two worksheets to get through today. Mark your answers using a calculator.

English
Today we are going to look at using apostrophes for contraction. That just means you have 2 words that become one e.g. could + not = couldn’t. Click on the web link to work your way through the mini videos that will give you a better understanding of when to use apostrophes for contraction. You can also play the quiz at the end. Have fun!
