YR HOME LEARNING - Monday 4th May

Good morning everyone, here are your home learning tasks for today. I have set some work linked to a book called Sharing a Shell by Julia Donaldson. She is one of my favourite authors and we have read a few of her books together in class such as; The Gruffalo and What the Ladybird Heard

Literacy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpJumAZx1t8 Listen to this reading of todays story; Sharing a Shell. Listen carefully and think about the different parts of our Tales Toolkit. Who is the main character? Who are the other characters? What is the setting? What is the problem? What is the solution?

After you have sorted the story into the different parts of our Tales Toolkit, challenge yourself to write some different simple sentences about each part. I have attached a Sharing a Shell Tales Toolkit booklet for you to use. If you can't print this out then you can just use it as a guide. Share your work to Tapestry - I cannot wait to see your super writing.

Maths

Follow this link to a online money game. Can you pay for the items in the shop using the correct coins? Can you recognise all of the coins? https://www.topmarks.co.uk/money/toy-shop-money For example, it may ask you if you can you make 11p so you could use a 10p coin and a 1p coin.

Additional

Enjoy some PE with Joe Wicks, the body coach. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iDqBO34ieA I think he has a special helper who may be joining him today.

Here is the link to the Oak National Academy lessons and resources for you to use also. https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom/reception#schedule
