Home Learning 01.05.2020

Good morning Year 1,

Another week of our home learning completed.

Well done on all of your fantastic work those of you who have been sending it in has been amazing to see.

Today is Pyjamara day!! So take the time to enjoy being in your comfy pyjamas while doing you home learning tasks. Take the time to enjoy feeling cosy with your family as the weather is not at its best, I hope today will be filled with fun and celebrations for all the hard work you have been doing.

I would like to remind you all about the importance of reading. If you do not have any reading books at home or you have worked your way through them all, use the online tool of https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/ .

It’s super easy to use, just select your book band colour and choose a book you like.

Here is a fun recipe for cookies that you could enjoy while reading your favourite book in your pyjamas.

English Task:

As today is pyjamarma day I think it would be fantastic if you could design your own pair of pyjamas. Whatever you would love them to look like the way they would feel. If you’re feeling like a challenge why don’t you label your design? Here is a template for you to follow. We would love to see them once they are complete so please send in a picture if you can. Good luck

Maths Task:

Today our maths challenge is super easy. All you have to do is put on your favourite pair of pyjamas. Your job is to count all of the different colours, spots, stripes or patterns that you see.

I have done a quick example for you. Look at the picture

Different colours: 7.

How many rainbows?

Now it’s your turn.

Have a fantastic day, good luck with your home learning and remember to read as much as you can. We are super proud of the work you have been doing, keep up the good work!

All of year one staff J
