The rainbow during this difficult time has been a symbol of hope and happiness. This week in English we are going to be looking at the book ‘The Rainbow Fish’.
For today we would like you to listen to the story carefully, your job is to then tell the story to somebody else inside your house. When you are retelling the story, try to use as much detail as you can. Try to use as many adjectives as you can (a describing word). The more adjectives you use to retell your story the better it will be
For example:
The rainbow fish had sparkling sliver scales.
The giant octopus lived in the dark and gloomy cave.
We will be continuing work on adjectives tomorrow so try your hardest to include them wherever you can.
Maths Task:
For maths today we will be looking at number bonds to 8 and 9. There are some attachments for you to look at and follow along. Have a go at completing the questions. If you’re a superstar, I have also included a harder worksheet for those of you who enjoy the challenge.
(You do not have to print of the sheet but can do your working using the sheet as a reference)
Here are some clips that can help you along.
Have a fantastic day, good luck with your home learning and remember to read as much as you can. We are super proud of the work you have been doing!
All of year one staff J
