How is everyone today? One of my favourite times of the week happens every Friday morning. Can you guess what it its? That's right...its Popshop! Over the past week, you have been building sentences to retell the story of the Enormous Turnip. Yesterday, we reached the point in the story where the tiny, grey farmhouse mouse helped to pull the enormous turnip out of the ground! The proud farmer was so pleased that he invited all of his friends to his house for a turnip dinner. 

Today, we would like you to write an invitation for the dinner party. You should pretend that you are the farmer and try to convince your friends to come by using the word 'because'. Have a look at mine:

Dear Tom

You are invited to my terrific, tremendous turnip supper! You should come to my party because the food will taste fantastic and there will be party games to play!

Maths

We've done lots of learning on number this week so let's have a look at some shapes. Remind yourself of the 2D shapes we have learnt about in school by watching the Numberblocks video and then have a go at this game.
