Good Morning Year 1! I hope you are all safe and well? I hope that you are enjoying this week's tasks. Here are the tasks for today:

English.

Yesterday, we wrote about the setting of a new adventure for Jake and Holly to go on. I wrote about a jungle setting! What did you write about?

Today, we’re going to introduce a character that the children meet in their new adventure. Your character will need to match your setting. For example, I wouldn’t find an astronaut in the jungle, I would find him in space!

You can use the same piece of paper to do this or you can start on a new piece.

In my jungle setting, I am going to introduce the character ‘Slinky’. Slinky is a slithering snake.

“The children landed in a hot, humid and noisy jungle. As they walked through the huge, green, thick trees, they were surprised by strange hissing sound. They looked up into the trees to find a long snake with green and yellow spots sitting on a branch. ‘Hello, pleased to meet you. I’m Slinky’ said the snake.
