Activity three: Imagine you've been to Antarctica too. Write a postcard explaining what it was like there. Try using commas in a list. For example: When I first arrived in Antarctica I saw lots of snow, ice and water.
Maths
Today we are going to explore 3D shapes. Play the following game to refresh your memory of 3D shapes. http://www.snappymaths.com/other/shapeandspace/3dshapes/interactive/3dshapeimm/3dshapeimm.htm
Now try and find as many of these 3D shapes around your home.
Cube, cuboid, sphere, cone, square based pyramid, triangular prism.
Take pictures of them and create a scrapbook on the school website. Alternatively you can make a note of the 3D shapes you find around your home in your maths book.
If you would like to be creative, you can use straws and blue tac to create 3D shapes.
