Charlie's Sponsored Walk

During these difficult times it is always lovely to hear heart warming stories that give us faith. In particular stories of people being selfless in order to help others. One such story comes from a little boy we are lucky enough to have as one of our amazing pupils here at Broad Oak. Charlie Howlett (2D) was diagnosed with a Spinal Cyst located at the base of his brain last year, meaning Charlie would need brain surgery. Charlie continued thriving in school until his operation which took place back in February. Charlie's recovery has been challenging but he continues to make good progress and blow our socks off with his determination and bravery. As part of his recovery, Charlie has been tasked with doing lots of walking and excercise. However, Charlie decided that he wouldn't just do exercise to aid his own recovery but that he would also help others in the process. Charlie has decided to complete a sponsored walk for a guide dog charity. We are so incredibly proud of him, he has overcome so much and still continues to help others.

Keep up the amazing work Charlie!
