Home learning- Wednesday 25th March
Hello everyone, we hope that you are well and are having lots of fun at home whilst learning along the way. Please find below your home learning challenges for you to have a go at today! Try your best and have fun whilst doing them. -Parents/ Carers - Please do upload to Tapesty if you feel it is necassary, as we would love to see how the children are getting on
Maths
Sign up free to https://www.themathsfactor.com/ and try some of the games!
Practise some addition at home- use socks/toys/lego bricks. Make up some simple problems. For example "I have 4 bricks an you have 3 bricks. How many bricks have we got altogether?" You could record these as number sentences 3+4=7
Literacy
At school the children love telling stories. We use Tales Toolkit symbols to help us create our stories. There are 4 symblos: Character, Setting, Problem and Solution. Attached is a copy of the grid we use at school. Help your child create a story- you could use a toy as a character, a favourite TV character, a family member. Make them asfun as possible.
Additional
Have an indoor treasure hunt. Make a map for the children to follow! You could write about your treasure hunt or count the treasure- who found the most/least? How much treasure have you found altogether?
