Y6 Home Learning Activities - Wednesday 1/4/2020
Happy April Fool's Day everyone! Your work for today is not a joke - it's for real I'm afraid! :) But I do hope you have fun playing pranks and telling jokes to your families today - enjoy the day!
For Maths today, you have a powerpoint to teach/remind you about how to find the Perimeter and Area of a shape, followed by some activity sheets. There is also an answer sheet to download when you're finsihed so you can check your working. Remember: perimeter is the distance measured around the outside of a shape whilst area is the measure inside the shape (Hint - for perimeter you add the lengths of all the sides , for area you multiply the longest and shortest sides)
For English, you have a reading comprehension task based on an extract from the classic novel Wind in the Willows about a character called Mr Badger. Read the text, answer the questions, then download the answer sheet to check if you are correct.
A little extra for those of you that want more..... Geography Challenge: Locate and name the UK cities on the map - use the website link to help you. Enjoy! Remember: stay at home and stay safe everyone, from Mrs Atherton
